Streets with more compact semi-detached and terraced homes in South Woodford are often narrower, with shallower front gardens and on-street parking.

This street typology could be improved by:

• 5.13 Considering the use of modal filters at junctions to limit through-traffic and create green gateways to residential streets.
• 5.14 Creating new rain gardens with biodiverse planting and street trees in place of a proportion of on street parking bays.
