Who are we?
The South Woodford Society is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to building a thriving community where people and businesses flourish.
We are ambitious and proactive, collaborating with groups and authorities to influence decision-making and create a better South Woodford for everyone. Over the years, we have implemented various initiatives, including new green spaces such as the Urban Orchard and Eastwood Green, creating the Neighbourhood Plan, Digital Design Code and setting up the Business Network.
We also organise and host a wide range of events, public meetings and gatherings focused on local issues and campaigns. If you would like to volunteer and support our events, contact us. We’d love to hear from you!

Our Story
Formed in 2015 by a group of residents, the South Woodford Society set out to protect and enhance our local environment while supporting local businesses in this vibrant London suburb. Today, over 700 members in and around South Woodford – residents, businesses, and people who fell in love with this place – are working together to build a bright future for our community.
